SWEDISH:
With relaxation and circulation in mind, a full body massage is given using long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes on the top most layers of muscles. The Swedish technique directs the massage strokes towards the heart to increase your circulation potential. Swedish massage can relieve tired muscles, increase blood and lymph flow and generate restoration and relaxation for the mind and body.

60, 90 or 120 Minute Appointments available

DEEP TISSUE:
A more focused and specific treatment utilizing deep slow pressure to access the deeper layers of the musculoskeletal tissue. Strokes that use elbows, forearms and closed fists as well as accompanying neuromuscular and trigger point techniques may be added to address the specific treatment goals. Deep tissue massage can help alleviate and enhance healing for strains, sports injury and stress.

60, 90 or 120 Minute Appointments available

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE:
A more focused and specific treatment; a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body which can reduce swelling.

Light, circular, and sweeping motions in conjunction with range of motion of the joints helps to stimulate and mobilize the lymph vessels. By working towards the direction of the heart, the lymphatic fluid can be more easily collected and recirculated.

This treatment can be used alone or in conjunction with other modalities noted on this page.

60, 90 or 120 Minute Appointments available.

CRANIALSACRAL THERAPY (CS1):
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system – comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, the practitioner helps to release restrictions in the craniosacral system, which has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as many other systems of the body, such as digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, and more. CST has also been shown to help with the physical components related to such somatic conditions as Post Traumatic Stress, depression and anxiety.

The practioner, in a state of neutral healing presence, helps to facilitate the body’s natural and innate healing processes.

This treatment can be used alone or components of the treatment interwoven into any of the other treatments noted on this page.

60 Minute (10 step CST protocol) Appointments available.

REFLEXOLOGY:
Reflexology is a therapy that dates back thousands of years.  It can be traced back to the ancient civilizations of Egypt, India, Native America and China. Reflexology is based on the principle that certain areas on the soles of your feet, ears or hands, containing millions of nerve endings, correspond to other parts of the body. All systems and organs of the whole body are mirrored in smaller peripheral areas.

Reflexology stimulates the body into healing itself by improving circulation, reducing stress, pain and restoring natural balance.

Reflexology can be included in any of the treatments on this page.

HOT STONE MASSAGE:
A truly restorative experience.

A hot stone massage is a relaxing body treatment using flat, heated, basalt river stones to ease deep into the muscle layer and erase tension held in the body while increasing circulation to the tissues. With temperature of the stones carefully monitored, the heat is held to a specific range that therapeutically heats the soft tissue. The heat helps the blood vessels expand, thereby increasing blood supply delivering more oxygen to tissue and carrying away waste. Fluids and toxins are then able to move more efficiently through the lymph system for elimination.

90 or 120 Minute Appointments available

CUPPING THERAPY:
Cupping therapy can be traced back thousands of years to ancient Asian healing foundations. It has carried on through many geographical and cultural communities. It is believed that cupping can move Qi, or energy, throughout the body, much like with acupuncture. Cupping can improve circulation, boost the immune system, stimulate lymphatic drainage, reduce muscle tension, break adhesions and scar tissue, remove toxins, work through fascial dysfunctions, and much more.

This ancient form of healing utilizes special cups which are applied onto your skin to create suction. Cups can remain stationary or used in a gliding effleurage fashion.

Incorporating cups into your massage therapy session can further deepen the release of your tension and pain, thereby creating greater healing progress.

Cups can be added to any massage treatment highlighted on this page.
